Museum Brandhorst
The Brandhorst Museum, built in Munich by famous architects Sauerbruch Hutton, displays the collection of modern and contemporary art made by Udo and Anette Brandhorst. The exhibits are on display in impressive, generously dimensioned galleries with various layouts. All the walls are painted white, whilst the floors and staircases are in solid, light coloured oak. In keeping with the high design standards, visitors are greeted as soon as they enter the foyer by a very special kind of lighting. The integrated, slightly cone shaped Flat Polymero luminaires look like illuminated mushrooms growing out of the ceiling. The ceiling has been constructed specifically to accommodate the shape of the luminaires and to make them part of the overall look.
