Less can sometimes be more: Indigo Fitness is a young, up-andcoming fitness club in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, with a limited number of members at each branch of the club. The exclusive club in Lucerne has a highly prominent address and is the jewel of the Indigo Fitness Club Collection. The interior design focusses on high-class understatement, with a stylish and purist look. The functional requirements of the lighting were precisely defined by lighting designers Giger Licht AG. The lighting concept for the training rooms was achieved using mainly vertical lighting on the walls. This avoids direct light being reflected off the touch panels on the sports equipment. The extremely discreet tracks with spotlights blend in with the black ceiling, which has been left open.
