The winners of the Red Dot 2019 this time include the luminaire series TRIONA and MINGATA. In line with the motto “In search of good design and innovation”, the international expert jury of the Red Dot Award 2019 tested each of the roughly 5,500 products submitted individually and decided together on the award winners.

TRIONA had already received the German Design Award and the iF Award, and also impressed the jury of the Red Dot with its outstanding workmanship and wide range of potential applications. For MINGATA, the Red Dot is the second award after the iF. It scored with the jury with its combination of form and function: Thanks to efficient thermal management, the range of outdoor luminaires suitable for top and side mounting on poles needs no visible cooling ribs and impressed with its flat and therefore low-maintenance top surface.

The award ceremony took place on 8 July 2019 at the former Zeche Zollverein colliery in Essen.
